Working in the Covent Garden Bookshop that her Suffragette Aunt Violet mysteriously inherited, Hannah Merrill embarks on a long held ambition; to be an independent single working woman during The Great War when there is danger in the skies. When a murder occurs in the bookshop she soon realises she cannot solve it alone.

Hannah will need the enlist the help of her outrageous, opinionated, only-occasionally-objectionable Suffragette, Aunt Violet and her childhood friend, Darius Clifford, who she is determined to keep at arms length, but it’s a task which proves the most difficult of all.
